In addition to her work on the bench, Judge Sotomayor is an adjunct professor at New York University School of Law and a lecturer-in-law at Columbia Law School. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Women’s Bar Association, the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Association of Judges of Hispanic Heritage, and the National Council of La Raza. She has received many honors including, most recently, an award from the National Association of Women Lawyers. This, in addition to her racist remark in 2001,
I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life.
I'd say her belonging to an organization known as "The Race" (La Raza), should label her as racist. After all, if I or any other white person belonged to an all white org known as "The Race," we all know that we would be labeled as racist, and therefore, unsuitable to be seated on the Supreme Court of the USA.

Hey I this isn't relatedto this particular post, but to your blog in general. I organized a military week on my site Collectors' Quest and a couple of our featured collectors have some antique guns. I figured you may be interested in checking it out. There are some WWII and American Civil War guns.
