Considering a name change for BGA's BG(G)B

Ok, so I've been thinking for some time that I might rename my blog. For more than a few reasons. But I guess I have to ask my (few?) loyal readers, is this a good idea or a bad idea?

The focus would still be guns, and for the most part, Right of Center politics, and, whenever I can find an appropriate subject, anything that would concern the Pink Pistols. And even some GLBT (or LGBT, if you prefer) subject matter as well.

If anyone has an opinion on this, please speak up. If I hear nothing, then I will most likely go ahead and change the name.

And just so you know, one of the reasons is, I'm hoping to draw a bigger readership. I think that some might be scared off by the name. But what do I know.

I wouldn't change the name, but it's your blog, and if you think that it will help draw readers, go for it.

Al, I think your blog name is a GREAT one! It is an attention grabber, and that's half the battle in attracting eyeballs (the other being content, of course). I vote for the status quo!

First time here, looks like a fun blog, and interesting as well. Love the name, I vote you keep it!

I'm with your other commenters. The name is why I first clicked, and one of the reasons I keep checking back every so often.

I like the name. I just don't drop by often because you don't update often. But you are on my blogroll.

Thanks for that, Rightwingprof. I should post more often, but, I've had a massive writer's block of late. I'm hoping to over come it soon.

The name is certainly an attention grabber, but is that for the right reasons? Do you want to advance the causes of legitimate gun ownership, or emphasize your orientation? Being straight, I sometimes wonder about the necessity of many gay people to advertise their orientation, in contrast to the marked lack of orientational promotion that straight people engage in. When I get to know people, sexual orientation is not a judgemental criterion. Good work on the informational aspect of your blog. We in the gun world need all such we can get. I saw your post re. the Steyr GB on the "Yesterdays Weapons" site. Interesting piece.

gmerkt, as to the reason for the name, that's a manifold set of reasons. Generally speaking, I would identify myself as a South Park fan, and let it go at that.

In general though, the name arose from an inside joke, of sorts, that goes back to when I took over the Michigan chapter of the Pink Pistols. However, if you read some of the other responses to my query, you'll see that most think the name works fine. Add to that, I'm not really sure what I'd call it, otherwise.

I'll end by saying, that first impressions can be wrong, sometimes.
